7/23 W decided to go to Park City. We crossed a very dry area and could see the Uinta Mountains in the background. They are unusual because they run east-west rather that north-south. We made a note to visit them on another trip. Starvation Reservoir looks misplaced against the area starving for water. Having heard so much about Park City, I had built it up as densely lush and forested. The Wasatch Mountains here are quite arid and more bushy until you drive higher up toward the ski resorts. The old section of town has attractive old buildings with fair food and even more expensive shops than your usual ski resort. We rented electric bikes and rode for miles, partly because we were lost most of the time. The bike trails follow and intersect with roads often. I found it stressful.
