4/23 My daughter and son in law have found many unique outdoor areas in Nashville. This was our second visit within the year.
They took us to Cheekwood Estate and Gardens. Originally it was a wealthy baron's home, but now contains fine arts on the inside and extensive gardens. The gardens include a section of operating trains. They were also preparing a portion of the garden with lights for a nighttime exhibit.
We also hiked through Radnor Lake State Natural Area. It is an urban sanctuary that protects the plants and animals and is a birdwatcher's dream. We went on a Monday so there were open parking spaces.
