Twillinggate, Newfoundland

10/23. Our next stop was Twillingate, passing through Gander, which was a good place for eats and gas. I was excited to see icebergs only to find out they move on and melt by July. There was still plenty to do, with our first stop at Long Point Lighthouse built in 1876. We did a nice hike starting at French Beach to Spillar's Cove. The water was so clear and the fall colors were wonderful.

We did a second hike on The Top of Twillingate Trail. It was a bit hard to find, but the views were great and the scenery was quite different from our other hike. It would be a great place for a picnic on a warmer day. Most places to eat were closed, but we enjoyed Stage Head Pub across from where we stayed.
